Meet Lisa

NICE TO MEET YOU!

Lisa has studied various styles of yoga for more than 40 years

Lisa Gloor, RYT300

Lisa’s eclectic style blends physical and mindful aspects of yoga to create a practice that helps students become stronger and more flexible. Classes will typically offer tools that students can take home for use on and off the mat.

Lisa has studied various styles of yoga for more than 40 years, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Kripalu and Bikram. After pursuing more physically intense forms of yoga as a young adult, Lisa eventually found her long-term teacher, Julie Gudmestad of Portland, OR, whose disciplined, alignment-focused approach and Iyengar-inspired roots offered both technical challenge and anatomy-aware movement.

Lisa earned her 300 YTT certificate from Yoga for Life, November 2024, and was recently certified as an Alignment-Based Yoga Specialist under Rachel Lundberg.

In addition to a yoga practice, Lisa has maintained a consistent meditation practice and is currently mentoring with a well-known Buddhist meditation teacher. She frequently brings elements of mindfulness and philosophy into her teaching.

Recently retired, when not doing yoga Lisa enjoys getting outside, traveling the world with her husband, and attempting to read far too many books at the same time. She is also a volunteer conflict mediator for the City of Beaverton.
