Eat Your Weeds with Engaging Nature & Wild Kraft Wellness
Our neighborhoods are full of wild, edible surprises—we just need to get to know them!
Join us for this 3-hour adventure starting at Thrive Yoga & Wellness and making a roundtrip to Water Board Park. We'll meet the bold, unstoppable weeds thriving in sidewalks, alleys, and green spaces—thrusting their gifts of nutrition and wellness toward us, whether we notice or not.

You'll learn safe identification techniques while practicing honorable harvest principles (yes, even with abundant urban plants!). Packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, these assertive plants are nutrient-dense food and medicine. We can never predict exactly what we'll find—only that we'll discover something delicious and useful.

After our 2-mile forage, we'll return to Thrive's kitchen to wash, prepare, and taste our finds. Expect to create a wild smoothie, herb salt, and possibly tea from whatever the neighborhood has offered up.

What to expect: Led by Kate Stinson of Engaging Nature and Sarah Kraft of Wild Kraft Wellness, be ready for 2+ miles of urban strolling with an incline and plenty of bending to examine plants. Bring sun protection and water—we'll provide gathering containers and kitchen equipment.
