Founding Story

Thrive opened in 2015 as a small yoga studio just down the street from our current home. In 2018 we moved to 1107 7th St in Oregon City and became a full wellness center, pairing yoga and movement with a collective of healing practitioners. Rachel Lundberg became owner in 2022 and continues to grow Thrive into the community it is today.

Our Mission

Rooted in Community, Connection and Compassion, we gather through yoga, movement and wellness offerings to align, grow and expand. We hold a welcoming space where each person can connect with themselves and others and grow their own way.

Victoria Koopman

E-RYT 500, ABYS II, YACEP

What brought Victoria to yoga was her own health challenge with chronic pain. She is deeply inspired by anatomy, functional movement, and pain science. Her continual study of body mechanics, yoga's effect on the body, and pain science, have allowed her to assist students to finding pain relief through the use of a variety of movement techniques. She's been teaching and studying since 2019. She had the honor of studying from many of the great yoga teachers in the Portland, Oregon community, including Annie Adamson, Rachel Lundberg, and Julie Gudmestad. She has studied vinyasa, hatha and yin yoga, and has also dipped her toe into pre and postnatal yoga.

Lori Heles

RYT200; RYT500

Lori’s yoga journey started years ago when she took her first yoga class at a YMCA. She was immediately hooked. In her own words, “I didn’t know at the time how transformative yoga would be for me on so many levels. My dream of teaching yoga started with that first class.” Lori realized that dream (just a mere 25 years later) when she completed her 200-hour training with Austin and Amber Richman at Cambio Yoga in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She’s been teaching various styles of yoga classes since her 2017 certification, including Yin, Slow-Flow, Vinyasa as well as private sessions. Lori believes that yoga has endless lessons to teach us, both on and off the mat. She’s excited to be a part of your yoga journey at Thrive, and looks forward to meeting you on your mat. When she’s not teaching, Lori can be found hiking, camping, and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and two cats.

Lisa earned her 300 YTT certificate from Yoga for Life, November 2024, and was recently certified as an Alignment-Based Yoga Specialist under Rachel Lundberg. In addition to a yoga practice, Lisa has maintained a consistent meditation practice and is currently mentoring with a well-known Buddhist meditation teacher. Stacy started Pilates in 2003 and noticed how much better her body felt after class! Shortly thereafter, it was an easy decision for her to become an instructor and be able to share her passion with so many people. Stacy especially loves how Pilates is such an effective workout while being low impact and engaging the whole body. She teaches in a contemporary Pilates style which integrates classical Pilates techniques with a fusion of added stretch, balance, and coordination. This allows for multi-level adaptability and a more customizable routine. In addition to teaching at Thrive, Stacy has studied at Fitour, Barre Above, and Imagodei Studios. When she’s not in the studio, you will find Stacy teaching elementary school and spending time with her family.

Jennie Delich

200-Hour Certified Qigong Teacher

Having long benefited from movement practices that stimulate the mind and elevate the emotions, Jennie was drawn toward Qigong after more than 20 years of personal practice in belly dance and yoga. In her words, “Qigong spoke to me in a way no other practice had. Its simplicity was also its complexity; it was accessible yet challenging. It had no goal of performance, rather, the opposite - practitioners were guided to let go and find presence, free from the performance of roles.” In 2021, Jennie actively sought out training opportunities with Qigong instructors whose personal style spoke to her heart. She received her 200-hour certification from Holden QiGong and participated in Mimi Kuo-Deemer’s 2024 Teacher Mentorship Program. Jennie’s classes blend a progression of warm-ups, stretches, and activations before transitioning into flows, standing postures, and meditation. Inspired by the natural realm, Jennie adds a layer of nature-based metaphor. In her words, “I see qigong as a rich tapestry of imagery that invites us to explore our inner and outer worlds through embodied movement." When she is not teaching qigong, Jennie fills the role of Teacher Liaison for Holden QiGong, guiding new qigong teachers through the Teacher Certification Program. Beyond qigong, she can be found frolicking in the natural world, caring for her feather and fur babies, and spending time in the garden.

Growing up, movement was always a part of my life. From ballet and jazz/modern dance in my early years to yoga throughout motherhood and now into middle age, movement has been a constant source of grounding, resilience, and transformation through every season of life. I have been teaching yoga since 2019 and am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, having completed my training with Yoga Union. I also hold an 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training certification through Bhakti Yoga Movement under the guidance of Shana Celnicker-Chong. In addition, I am a Lamaze-Certified Holistic Childbirth Educator from Awaken Spirit Yoga and an Aqua Yoga Instructor, which allows me to support students across a variety of life stages and environments. My teaching is rooted in a deep appreciation for the relationship between the physical body and the emotional body. I believe movement practices like yoga offer a tangible way to connect with ourselves, cultivate awareness, and create space for healing and growth. Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or simply seeking a supportive practice, my intention is to create a welcoming space where you can move with curiosity, compassion, and confidence. Outside the studio, I'm the proud mother of two sons in their twenties. I love spending time outdoors, taking trips to the coast, and sharing life's little adventures with my dog, Maggie Mu. These simple moments in nature continue to inspire the presence, balance, and joy that I hope to bring into every class.
