The honest truth is that most of us are afraid of bending backward. Even those who are very established in their yoga asana practice. Considering our daily routines, we spend a lot of time moving forward. Therefore, it only makes sense to be hesitant about moving our bodies in the opposite direction. On a physical level, backbends stimulate the central nervous system, realigns the spine, and increase hip mobility. Backbends also boost energy levels and improve your mood! This builds patience in your practice so that you can receive all the benefits yoga has to offer.
Workshop is hosted by Jordan Castellanos. We will warm the body up with a flow designed to slowly open the spine and hips, thus uncovering the anatomy of your backbending potential. Guided meditation will be included.
