Deepen Your Practice with Kimi Marin  Did you know that yoga poses come in “families?” Many yoga postures mimic each other and by learning the proper alignment in particular families, helps to create a deeper understanding of how to align your body in each pose. Join Kimi Marin totake your practice deeper by slowing down and re-familiarizing yourself with some of the common poses. In each session, you will deepen your understanding of a family of postures and learn how it feels in your body in order to deepen your yoga practice.  In every session you will explore standing postures, balancing postures, seated postures, and move to a more advanced (and surprise!) posture. You will learn how specific postures are supposed to feel in your body as well as the different modifications. Come prepared to learn, laugh, and enjoy the journey!  Come to one session or all three!   Session 1: Closed Hips: Lunges, hip flexors, and backbends!   Have you ever heard a teacher ask you to internally rotate your leg and not have a clue what that means?? Or ever wondered how to engage your core and do a backbend? If Yes, Then this is the session for you! In this session you will learn how to open your front body, play with thigh rotation, and move into backbends in a safe and aligned manner.      Session II: Open Hip: Warriors, Triangles, and Trees   Good-bye, Tight hips! You will learn how to find alignment in some of the most popular poses, strengthen your outer hips, and safely transition from one pose to the next in way that is safe for your knees and hips. If you have ever done a warrior 2, this is the session for you!      Session III: Twists   Twists are supposed to create a sense of spaciousness in our bodies but most often students feel constricted, stuck, and confused. In this session, you will learn how to use breath work, core engagement, and body stabilization to move deeper into twists. If you ever feel stuck in a twist, this session is for you!
